New Venue, New Brand; Development process of launching a new venue

At our August Breakfast we continued our summer of celebration to coincide with the Year of Food and Drink Scotland. Not only was it our 50th breakfast event it’s also 5 Years since the Corinthian Club re-launch and the up and coming launch of the new Cotton Club Casino.

We welcomed our Communication’s Partner, The Corinthian Club to the stage in the form of Chris Gibson, Group Executive Chef at G1 Group and Scott van der Hoek, Head of Food Operations. Chris along has worked as a chef for over 20 years and has had many senior posts with Jamie Oliver, The Living Room, City Inn and The Buttery.

Chris talked us through the process from initial brief of a new venue and how this has developed into a  strong brand identity.  Focussing particularly on The Cotton Club, which launches in August. Chris and Scott gave us insight into where the initial concept of the food and drink came from and the journey to the finished product.

It was very insightful and there where many tips into the success of this brand and how we as businesses can also learn from their journey.
