At our July Communications Breakfast host ‘Julian Westaby’ of marketing and branding agency Creating Sparks took to the floor. Julian walked us through the essential elements of an effective brand strategy and examined the components of a consistent brand regardless of what media or format it appears in.

Julian has over 25 years experience in brand and communications working with private, public sector and third sector organisations helping define strategies and building strong relationships that deliver a positive customer experience.  As well as sharing the essential elements of an effective brand strategy Julian also talked us through how to:

  • Communicate your brand personality
  • Give your brand an edge through quality engagement
  • Cultivate customer loyalty

About Julian

Julian is a graphic design graduate and Board Director with 25 years experience in brand and communications with private, public sector and third sector organisations.

As well as a co-founder of the Communications Breakfast and branding and marketing agency Creating Sparks he also sits on the Board of Creative Skillset representing the branding and creative industries and offering digital and marketing advice.

He also does public speaking at conferences and events within the creative and professional industries.

Specialties include corporate communication, project management, branding and identity, strategic marketing, social media training, digital design and public speaking.

In contrast to his business activities Julian is also qualified as a Group Fitness Instructor!
